Esra Intern Transport & Opslag

Esra Intern Transport was established in 1949. What started out with the manufacture of trolleys has grown into a total supplier for mobile internal transport and warehousing solutions. Esra develops warehousing lay-outs for its many loyal customers and then provides turn-key delivery of racking systems, complete with everything from automated warehousing solutions and forklift trucks down to the smallest trolleys and carts. Preventive maintenance and instant on-site service from their in-house technical department complements their range of services. Forty professionals work at Esra.

The power of service

Esra has grown significantly in recent years. One main contributing factor to this growth is the company’s excellent service. René Heupink, who forms the management team at Esra together with his partner Dennis Grolleman: ‘Operational continuity is very important to our customers. The flow of goods must be maintained in a warehouse. Our service network with national coverage ensures that we can respond quickly and effectively to service requests. If a repair or maintenance job requires more time, we replace the logistics components with direct alternatives from stock’.

Their extensive stock is a second distinguishing factor. Almost everything can be delivered quickly and at competitive prices. Well-known top brands that Esra supplies include Cesab, Toyota, Linde Heftrucks, Clax, Bauke, Simai, Ravas, Stöcklin, and their own Esra brand. Customers can lease, rent or purchase new and used machines and products, which come with different maintenance options.

Extensive growth

In recent years, Esra has grown extensively, both as a company and through acquisitions.  The acquisitions have made their assortment even more complete. One such example is the niche products that Esra supplies to hospitals. By being able to provide customised solutions for these customers, Esra has been able to develop an extensive customer base in the healthcare sector. Esra is proud of the fact that they supply all the logistics services for the Erasmus University Medical Center. This varies from warehouse racking systems and electric forklift trucks for the morgue to the mobile carts that personnel use to bring food and medication to the patients.

In 2020, a growth plan was implemented to double revenue over the next five years. With a revenue increase of 30% in 2021, Esra is right on track. Esra expects to continue this growth in the coming years. 10 to 15% of their growth currently comes from abroad, but this is also expected to increase as their Dutch customers expand abroad and through working with partners who are already internationally active.

Export countries: Germany, Belgium, Bonaire, Spain and Greece
