DS Groep

Established in 1982 under the name DS-Kunststoffen, the DS Groep is a large plastics supplier with more than 30 years of experience. They supply both semi-finished and finished plastic parts to various businesses and sectors. The DS Groep operates from several locations across the country to act as a regional partner with short lines of communication.

The DS Groep has the ideal solution for any sized product, from cutting and processing small plastic toilet signs or producing 6-metre tall panels for a song festival stage decor. The DS Groep supplies advertising, technical and construction materials for interiors, construction projects, the signage and display industry and industrial applications. The range of plastic applications continues to grow, repairs are becoming increasingly straightforward, and the expertise has increased enormously, both for interior and exterior applications.

With a team of 15 people in Apeldoorn (the entire DS Groep has 60 staff), they deliver a wide range of products and services to a highly diverse customer base with equally varied requirements. The business strives to provide the best material with the correct specifications to the desired location within 48 hours.

Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, the demand in 2020 for transparent materials from customers increased enormously, while the events and stand construction industry ground to a halt during that period. Part of all that unused acrylate will be melted down by suppliers to be re-used for other applications. Many of the preventive screens will also remain in use in offices because it has led to a sharp decrease in other flu and cold-related epidemics.

At the DS Groep, corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability are an integral part of corporate policy. From reducing the carbon footprint to obtaining FSC/PEFC/BREEAM certificates for various products to finding products from sustainable countries and producers with sustainable social policies, DS Groep ensures that both people and the environment are treated with care and respect. In practice, sustainability is carried through in the business by minimalising waste from cutting products and looking for alternatives for existing materials.

Export countries: 90% in the Netherlands, the remainder in Belgium, Germany
